Brown-Forman, makers of Jack Daniel’s, and TrueSports, Incorporated, owner and operator of Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, are collaborating to host three events at GasWerks, a bar in Columbus’ Arena District.
Each of the three dates will feature drink specials from GasWerks and Brown Forman, as well as ticket and merchandise giveaways from Mid-Ohio Sports Car course.
The first date is set for Friday, July 10, in advance of the Honda Super Cycle Weekend presented by Dunlop Tire, on July 17-19. A Honda showbike will be on display, so fans can get a look at the speedy cycle when it’s not zipping around the track. The first motorcycle event of the season, this weekend features intense motorcycle racing from American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) Pro Racing.
The very next weekend, on Friday July 17, GasWerks will host its second event, with focus this time on AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days. Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course’s second scheduled bike date occurs the following weekend on July 24-26 and features vintage motorcycle racing, motorcycle enthusiast seminars and the country’s largest motorcycle swap meet.
Rounding out the schedule is the third promotional evening on Thursday, July 30. With the American Le Mans Series in town for the Acura Sports Car Challenge as well as the IndyCar Series for the Honda Indy 200 presented by Westfield Insurance, this promises to be the track’s biggest weekend of the summer. To gear up for the double-header weekend, GasWerks will welcome an IndyCar showcar, an authentic replica of the powerful, open-wheeled cars that will take the track on August 7-9.
