On February 20, Performance Touring racer Jillian Barricklow will host the second annual Great Lakes Racing Expo at Full Throttle Indoor Karting in Springdale, Ohio from 12 to 6 p.m. An eight-year veteran of the region's circuits, Barricklow races the unmistakable pink and black Mazda Miata for NASA racing.
Coming off the success of last year's event, the FREE Great Lakes Racing Expo combines over 30 vendors at the region's largest off-season racing celebration. Following the morning two-hour karting enduro race, registrants will have the opportunity to participate in a "pro's vs. joe's" go kart competition. Also featuring BYOBW (Bring Your Own Big Wheel) competition, attendees can put their skills to the test while using the iconic eighties children's toy. Those in attendance will be able to browse the latest and greatest from companies such as Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course and The Mid-Ohio School, Cometic Gasket, Track First, Turn in Concepts, and many racing series in the Great Lakes region.
"It really touched me with how many people were able to positively influence their 2015 race season after last year's expo," said event director Jillian Barricklow. "It's really an awesome networking opportunity and ultimately a great time for all racers."
Immediately following the Expo, Bruce High Tech Performance Trailers will host an after party next door at Dave and Busters featuring complimentary appetizers, a cash bar, and virtual racing.
Located in Springdale, Ohio, Full Throttle Indoor Karting features state of the art gas powered go karts capable of reaching speed of 40 mph on two challenging tracks. Full Throttle is proud to host the Expo for a second year in a row and provide the region's racing community with a great chance to come together. All karting proceeds will go to Race Care Ministry.
