Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course will host its first ever NASCAR Nationwide Series race on August 17. The event, called the Nationwide Children’s 200 at Mid-Ohio, will be the first NASCAR Nationwide Series race in Ohio. General Admission tickets are still available at the gate starting at $50. Children 12 and under get in free.
Grant Reed, a 12 year old cancer survivor who was treated at Nationwide Children’s Hospital has been named Grand Marshal of the NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course on Saturday, August 17. An avid Ohio State football fan, Reed named his cancer ‘Michigan’ after the Buckeyes’ chief rival. He planned to do what he hopes the Buckeyes do each season on the gridiron, and beat Michigan.

Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course is seeking local volunteers in a number of important areas to assist at the first ever NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Mid-Ohio – the Nationwide Children’s Hospital 200 on August 16-17.
Fans with tickets to The Honda Indy 200 are invited to attend the IZOD IndyCar Series test day on Wednesday, July 31, free of charge. All IZOD IndyCar Series teams are expected to participate, in preparation for the race weekend on August 2-4.
