Past and present members of the Armed Forces will receive ticket discount at the gate
(September 8, 2011) – Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course is offering American soldiers and veterans a $10 discount on Weekend General Admission tickets at the gate for the EMCO Gears Classic presented by KeyBank
Any active or retired member of the Armed Forces is eligible to receive this discount for themselves and the friends and family present provided he or she shows their military IDs at the gate. The discount is valid only on Weekend General Admission tickets.
“This is a small way for us to say thank you to all the troops and their families for the sacrifices they have made in protecting this great country of ours,” said Craig Rust, president of Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. The Lexington, Ohio track hosts the GRAND-AM Road Racing Rolex Sports Car Series championship race as the final race of its 50th season next weekend. Several support races are scheduled including competitions from the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge, Formula Enterprises, OVR SCCA Improved Touring-Spec Miata Shootout and ARCA Truck Series.
Weekend General Admission tickets start at $30 with a free Paddock Pass when ordered in advance, prior to Wednesday, September 14 at 5 p.m. EDT. General parking is free and children 12 and under are also admitted free. Visit www.midohio.com

A comprehensive motorsports facility, Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course features a permanent road-racing circuit with two primary configurations: a 2.4-mile, 15 turn, and a 2.25- mile, 13-turn circuit.
