About Us
The Mid-Ohio School provides professional driving and riding instruction to drivers and motorcyclists of all skill levels. The school’s 16 automobile courses include Defensive Driving, High Performance and Racing. The motorcycle side features three Performance Track Riding formats. Students enjoy classroom sessions, skill drills, expert private instruction and lapping on the same track that challenges the world’s top racers. In 18 seasons, The Mid-Ohio School has 41,000 graduates, including 12,500 teenagers.
The Mid-Ohio School has received accreditation from many prestigious and well-regarded driving organizations. The American Automobile Association (AAA) recently added the school to its Approved Driving School Network to join the list of two other groups honoring our programs. National Auto Sport Association (NASA) and Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) are the other chief bodies that recognize The Mid-Ohio School as an approved driving institution. The Mid-Ohio School is also the Official Driving School of the F1600 Championship Series and provides instruction to its competitors prior to racing at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.
Founded in 2009 by veteran motorsports executives Kim Green and Kevin Savoree, Green Savoree Racing Promotions is a privately held motorsports event ownership and management company. In working together since 1993, Green and Savoree have won four IndyCar championships, three Indy 500s and the 12 Hours of Sebring as team principals, and established the Indy Racing League’s first street race in 2004. Headquartered in Indianapolis, the firm owns and promotes multiple professional racing events in North America, including the Honda Indy Toronto and Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg.
