This one day event will host approvimately 60 instructors who will be divided into three groups. Groups 1 & 2 will be seasoned instructors with Mid-Ohio experience. Group 3 will be instructors-in-training & seasoned instructors with no Mid-Ohio experience.
The program will consist of a combination of classroom and on track instruction, with on track instruction dominating the program. Three classroom curriculums will be presented. Class 1 will be put on by The Mid-Ohio School focusing on vehicle dynamics, and advanced instructor techniques used by The Mid-Ohio School in it's teaching program. Classes 2 & 3 will be taught by PCA staff. Those two courses will focus on PCA teaching and instructing philosophy. It will include a brief review of the National Training Program highlights and advanced PCA instructing techniques.
The on track instruction will be a combination of on track lead-follow sessions, while the other groups are observing the corners or in the class. Professional instructors will be provided for the lead follow exercises in the morning. In the afternoon lapping sessions, the professional instructors will be positioned in pit lane to work with drivers one on one. They will be available for discussion, observation, lead-follow, drive along, and in some cases ride along. The afternoon will allow drivers to fine tune the instruction to their personal needs.
Group assignments will be handled by PCA and The Mid-Ohio School.
