DUBLIN, OH (March 12, 2010) – TrueSports, Inc., owners and operators of Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course and The Mid-Ohio School, is hosting its 3rd Annual Community Open House and 6th Annual Job Fair on Saturday, March 20.
To initiate the day’s activities, from 9 a.m.- 1 p.m., the track is opening the 4th and 5th floor of the Goodyear Tower for a job fair. Several departments have dozens of openings for seasonal positions. Managers and representatives from the guest services, maintenance, ticket sales, safety services and food service departments will be on hand to discuss responsibilities, availability, hours and other information with those in attendance. Sample positions include call center attendants, gate security and cooks. In 2009, over 400 people attended the fair and filled out applications.
Beginning at 1 p.m., fans are invited to the Lexington, Ohio-based track to get a unique view of the facility on a non-race weekend. Representatives from The Mid-Ohio School will take fans on a hot lap around the track in an Acura TSX, the official vehicle of the school. Also, fans are welcome to explore the facility, including competition garages, the Goodyear Tower and various other building around the grounds. The admission for this event is free to everyone.
Fans over 18 can get behind the wheel of an Acura TSX themselves and take a run at the autocross course in the middle paddock, with the fastest time winning a prize package. Later in the afternoon, several of The Mid-Ohio School’s instructors will put on a demonstration of a Honda Teen Defensive Driving Program. At 3 p.m., fans can drive their own cars around the 13-turn, 2.25 mile track in a parade lap. This gives them the chance to see each turn of the most competitive track in the U.S. the same way the top drivers and riders across the country do.
