The Sportscar Vintage Racing Association (SVRA), the country’s largest vintage race sanctioning body, announced The Mid-Ohio School as an “official driving school” for its participants.
Additionally, The Mid-Ohio School, the comprehensive driving and motorcycle riding instruction company operated by TrueSports, Inc. and based at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course will provide all SVRA members with ten percent off any of its driving program. This includes its defensive driving, high performance and racing programs, totaling 15 different course offerings.
“We’ve had a long and successful relationship with TrueSports, Inc. and we’re excited to join in this partnership with The Mid-Ohio School,” said Carl Jensen, the competition director for SVRA. “The Mid-Ohio School provides some of the best instructors in the business. Also, we will be working on a supplementary program to further enhance SVRA’s Driver Orientation Program and Track Orientation Program offered on the traditional Thursday test day of the SVRA event at Mid-Ohio.”
Supplemental to this partnership and already in place at The Mid-Ohio School is a program for participants to become race-eligible for an SVRA race weekend. Non-SVRA members may upon successful completion of the Two-Day Acura High Performance Program at The Mid-Ohio School, enroll in the SVRA’s Rookie Orientation Program on any SVRA event weekend and become eligible to race.
The Mid-Ohio School provides professional driving and riding instruction to drivers and motorcyclists of all skill levels. The school’s 18 programs vary from Defensive Driving, Performance Driving and Racing programs on the automobile side, to Beginning, Experienced and Performance Track Riding programs on the motorcycle side. Students enjoy classroom sessions, skill drills, expert private instruction and lapping on the same track that challenges the world’s top racers.
