This action packed season opening weekend of premier sports car racing features IMSA Weather Tech Sports Car Championship and the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge. Some of the coolest cars around will be on track from world class manufacturers like Acura, Honda, BMW, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Ferrari, Ford, Mazda, Nissan, Porsche ... You name it! From the showroom to the speedway, the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge is IMSA’s showcase for the latest in American-made and imported high-performance sports cars, coupes, hatchbacks and sedans. This series is home to the same cars seen on streets and highways around the world and offers racing in three classes – Grand Sport and the TCR class  – running a 10-race schedule in tandem with the WeatherTech Championship.

The IMSA Prototype Challenge series is a multi-class platform for future IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship drivers and veteran drivers alike.

Entering its 14th season, IMSA Prototype Challenge shifts to a single-class, endurance race format in 2019 with six races held on North America’s most premier road courses. The series will continue to feature the global-spec LMP3 prototypes. The endurance format pairs two-drivers per car in a six race season.
