LEXINGTON, OH, July 23, 2014 – On Thursday, July 24, race fans are invited to attend a Verizon IndyCar Series test day at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. Twenty-one Verizon IndyCar Series drivers are expected to participate in the test, which is in preparation for the upcoming Honda Indy 200 at Mid-Ohio, taking place August 1-3.
The July 24 test day will be open to the public from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at a cost of $10 for admission, children 12 and under get in for free. VIP race pass holders also get in for free. The Keyhole and the Infield are open for viewing and fans are welcome to bring food and drinks, but concession stands in the lower paddock will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. No RVs, motor homes or trailers will be permitted into the facility. Further event information and an access map will be distributed to fans when they arrive. The testing will break at noon for one hour.
Among those expected to test include Ohio native Graham Rahal, current points leader Helio Castroneves, 2013 race winner Charlie Kimball, as well as four-time Mid-Ohio winner and 2013 Series Champion Scott Dixon.
The Honda Indy 200 at Mid-Ohio takes place August 1-3. Support races for the event weekend include Indy Lights, USF2000 National Championship, Pro Mazda Championship and the Pirelli World Challenge Championships.
