The Mid-Ohio School released its 2014 schedule today, the driving and riding school’s 22nd season. Over 100 dates are offered spanning more than a dozen different courses.
Three dozen Honda Teen Defensive Driving programs lead the 110-date schedule that also features high performance driving, racing and motorcycle programs. March 22 serves as opening day on a schedule that runs through October 26 . The school has placed an increased emphasis on sportbike track riding recently, never more evident than in the record high 23 dates in 2014.
Additionally, the school announced the new Acura 3-Day Racing Program. This offering is a fun, challenging and seamless way for the aspiring racer to earn a race license from the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) or National Auto Sport Association (NASA). Throughout the program – which can be taken consecutively or broken up – drivers will learn the fundamentals of driving on a racetrack and spend hours of seat time fine-tuning skills until qualified to compete in an amateur racing series.
“The Acura 3-Day Racing Program is something our graduates have been asking about for a while. We’re elated to add it to the group of courses this year, giving us the full gamut of driving instruction from teenage defensive driving to racing school and licensing,” said Todd Snyder, The Mid-Ohio School’s chief instructor.
