Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course Race Schedule Expands to Five Events for 2018

LEXINGTON, Ohio (October 30, 2017) – The racing season at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course will begin more than a month earlier in 2018 with the addition of a new professional sports car event, May 4-6.

The new race weekend will be headlined by the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, and four of the traditional dates return to the weekend schedule for the 57th season of racing at the legendary Lexington, Ohio road course.  In conjunction with this announcement, Mid-Ohio Season Race Passes are on sale now.

Those holding season passes in 2017 can renew their same grandstand seats, and customers with season motorhome passes can also reserve their spaces again.  The renewal window to secure the same seats and spaces as last race season will close for these fans on Wednesday, November 22.

“We’re thrilled to expand the schedule to five major race weekends in 2018.  The racing season will get started with much anticipation as IMSA brings world-class sports car racing action back to Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course after a five-year absence,” said Craig Rust, president of Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.  “Season race passes are on sale now at the best price that we’ll offer all year.  It offers an exceptional value to experience all five events, plus access to the car club activities and amateur races held on other weekends from April through October.”
