Hayden Gillim is one of MotoAmerica's most versatile and accomplished racers, competing in the premier Quad Lock Superbike class while bringing decades of experience to every lap. A native of Owensboro, Ky., Gillim comes from a family with generations of racing history, making motorsports a natural part of his life from an early age.
Gillim's connection to Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course began long before he competed there. His first racing memory was attending the 1999 AMA Superbike event as a spectator, and less than a decade later, he celebrated his first professional race victory at the same track in 2008. He continued to build his legacy at Mid-Ohio by earning the prestigious Horizon Award in 2010 before advancing to the professional ranks the following season.
Growing up racing flat track before transitioning to road racing at age 10, Gillim has developed into one of America's most well-rounded motorcycle racers. Throughout his career, he has competed in MotoAmerica, American Flat Track, a World Superbike event, and numerous regional club racing championships.
Among his career highlights are back-to-back MotoAmerica Stock 1000 Championships in 2023 and 2024, the 2023 King of the Baggers Championship, and a Superbike podium finish at New Jersey Motorsports Park in 2025.
Away from competition, Gillim has shared his expertise as an instructor at The Mid-Ohio School since 2024. Introduced to the Performance Riding School through his friend and crew chief, Mark Junge, he enjoys helping riders improve their skills by answering questions and providing guidance both on and off the track.
Gillim considers Mid-Ohio one of his favorite tracks because of its flowing, high-speed layout which rewards rider talent and precision, making it a fitting place for both his racing successes and his role as a coach.
