Munroe Falls, Ohio – Amy Ruman, in her No. 23 McNichols Co./Valley Automotive Group Chevrolet Corvette, will be close to home this weekend as she gears up and heads down to Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, OH, for the Trans Am Series Presented by Pirelli Permco Grand Prix of Mid-Ohio. Fans will be able to enjoy an action-packed weekend as Trans Am is running in conjunction with SVRA Vintage, F4 US Championship/FR Americas, International GT, a car show, and much more as part of the 2025 SpeedTour.
Heading into the halfway point of the season, Ruman is currently fourth in the TA National points standings, just 7 points shy of third place. The Trans Am Hall of Famer and Champion has had other series wins at the 13-turn, 2.258-mile legendary road course but is still vying for her first Trans Am victory here.
“This race is the highlight of our season every year. We are expecting a huge crowd of friends, family, and sponsors in attendance. The weekend forecast is calling for hot temperatures, so tire management will be key. I’m also looking forward to racing with long time Ohio friends David (Pintaric) and Aaron (Quine). With any luck we will have an OH–IO driver sweep on the podium!” remarked Ruman.
Forty-six competitors are entered across all classes, with nine running in Ruman’s TA class. Testing, practices, and qualifying will take place Thursday through Sunday. The Trans Am TA/XGT/SGT/GT feature race will be Saturday, June 21st at 12:35pm ET, with a fan walk on pit lane beginning at 11:50pm ET. The CUBE 3 Architecture TA2® Series race is Sunday at 12:50pm. Both races are 101.6 mi, 45-laps. Visit midohio.com, gotransam.com, speedtour.net, svra.com for tickets, schedules, and all other weekend information.
After Round 5, Paul Menard leads TA National class championship with 501 points, followed by Adam Andretti in second – 481, Tomy Drissi in third – 440, Amy Ruman is fourth – 433, and Chris Dyson sits in fifth – with 373 points.
