For the first time of 2021, the ARCA Menards Series turns right this weekend. The series heads to the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course for the first time since 1965.

Ty Gibbs continued chopping down the points lead that Corey Heim currently holds down to just 10 points after sweeping the day at Charlotte Motor Speedway last weekend. Gibbs won both the NASCAR Xfinity Series and ARCA Menards Series event on Saturday. Heim managed to bring home a second-place finish.

LEXINGTON, Ohio – Pipo Derani has been down this road before at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course: a quick lap in practice only to be outdone by the competition when it really counts. So, while the co-driver of the No. 31 Whelen Engineering Racing Cadillac DPi V.R was happy setting the fastest lap Friday in opening practice for the Acura Sports Car Challenge Presented by the TLX Type S, he’s holding off on celebrating.

Cooper Tires Championship Weekend to be Held at Mid-Ohio

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Following today’s announcement by organizers of the Honda Indy Toronto and INDYCAR that the July 9-11 event on the streets of Toronto has been cancelled due to ongoing COVID-19 restrictions in Ontario, Andersen Promotions has revised its 2021 calendar. The Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course will now host the season finale for the Road to Indy Presented by Cooper Tires on October 1-3.

ARCA Menards Series Returning to Mid-Ohio after 55-year absence.


Toledo, Oh. (May 14th, 2021) – Stock car and road racing fans in the Midwest will have a convergence of sorts when the ARCA Menards Series returns to Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course for the first time since 1965.


Cincinnati-based brand Dawn Dish, America’s #1 dish liquid, will be the entitlement sponsor of the Dawn 150, scheduled for Friday evening, June 4, on the 2.258-mile, 13-turn road course in Lexington, Ohio.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Almost two months after the checkered flag waved in the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring Presented by Advance Auto Parts, competitors in the 2021 IMSA WeatherTech Sports Car Championship (finally) take to the track again this weekend for the Acura Sports Car Challenge Presented by the TLX Type S at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.
 
Needless to say, most of the teams, manufacturers and drivers did not spend their “spring break” on the beach; rather, they logged plenty of time in wind tunnels, on dynamometers and shaker rigs, and at racetracks (real and virtual) trying to catch up to (or stay ahead of) the competition.
