United States Congress Celebrates AMA’s 100th Anniversary with Resolution

PICKERINGTON, Ohio — The American Motorcyclist Association was honored in the United States Capitol as it celebrates a century of protecting the rights of motorcyclists and promoting the motorcycle lifestyle.

The Co-Chairs of the Congressional Motorcycle Caucus, Reps. Tim Walberg (R-MI), Troy Balderson (R-OH), Donald Norcross (D-NJ), and Derrick Van Orden (R-WI) — in addition to Reps. Tracey Mann (R-KS), Carol Miller (R-WV) and Warren Davidson (R-OH) — introduced H. Res. 1391 in the House of Representatives honoring the anniversary.

Motorcyclists from across the country ride into North Central Ohio to celebrate AMA’s 100th anniversary

LEXINGTON, Ohio (July 25, 2024) - Motorcyclists from across the country will congregate at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course for the Permco AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days presented by Yamaha this weekend, July 26-28, for one of the world’s largest two-wheel celebrations.  

Mid-Ohio Memories, 2011: Suzuki Superbikes Shine

With MotoAmerica set to bring AMA Superbike racing back to Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, August 16-18, we’re taking a closer look at past Superbike races at the iconic racetrack in Lexington, Ohio.

It was a good weekend to be Blake Young at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in 2011. It was also a good weekend to be Suzuki. In Saturday’s race one, it was an emotional Young taking the win over championship rival Josh Hayes after a battle that went the duration and on Sunday the Wisconsinite padded his points lead a bit more over Hayes. On Sunday, it was a Suzuki sweep of the Superbike podium.

Herta, Kirkwood Complete ‘Big Day’ For Andretti Global

TORONTO (Sunday, July 21, 2024) – Michael Andretti’s raised right arm said it all following the Ontario Honda Dealers Indy Toronto at Exhibition Place, and the team owner could have raised two.

One for Colton Herta, another for Kyle Kirkwood.

The two drivers gave Andretti Global a win for the first time since last year’s rebranding and its first 1-2 finish in a race since Kirkwood and Romain Grosjean delivered in 2023 at Long Beach.

Mid-Ohio Memories, 2010: Hayes Beats Bostrom, Hayden Beats Hayes

With MotoAmerica set to bring AMA Superbike racing back to Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, August 16-18, we’re taking a closer look at past Superbike races at the iconic racetrack in Lexington, Ohio.

In the first of two Superbike races at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in 2010, Team Graves Yamaha’s Josh Hayes took sole possession of the AMA Superbike Championship with a win over Pat Clark Motorsports Yamaha’s Ben Bostrom. In race two, Rockstar Suzuki’s Tommy Hayden – the man who Hayes was tied with coming into the two Mid-Ohio races – reversed that and beat Hayes to win race two. Still, Hayes emerged with a four-point lead in the championship with his one-two finishes besting Hayden’s three-one tally.
